In 1974, 'Phaedra' redefined the landscape of electronic music. What began as an experimental session at Richard Branson's Manor Studios in Oxfordshire became a seismic event in modern sound. Using the Moog sequencer for the first time, Tangerine Dream - then comprised of Edgar Froese, Christopher Franke & Peter Baumann - crafted 'Phaedra', an album that shimmered with innovation, mystery & a palpable sense of discovery. Half a century later, Tangerine Dream returned to London's Barbican to honor that landmark work - reimagining it for a new era. '50 Years Of Phaedra: At The Barbican' captures this transcendent live performance, in which the current line-up - Thorsten Quaeschning, Hoshiko Yamane & Paul Frick - revisit the spirit of 'Phaedra' with the very tools that Froese & his collaborators helped pioneer.

Tracks:
1.1 Phaedra Suite Initial Applause
1.2 Sequent C, 2024
1.3 Movements of a Visionary, 2024
1.4 Mysterious Semblance at the Strand of Nightmares, 2024
1.5 Hippolytos Session, Pt. 1
1.6 Hippolytos Session, Pt. 2
1.7 Hippolytos Session, Pt. 3
1.8 Hippolytos Session, Pt. 4
1.9 Hippolytos Session, Pt. 5
1.10 Hippolytos Session, Pt. 6
1.11 Hippolytos Session, Pt. 7
1.12 Phaedra 2024
1.13 Hippolytos Session, Pt. 8
1.14 Phaedra Suite Applause and Words
2.1 Happy Ending
2.2 Sorcerer Theme
2.3 You Are Always on Time
2.4 Dolphin Dance
2.5 Rare Bird
2.6 Continuum
2.7 Los Santos City Map
2.8 Logos (Velvet)
2.9 Portico
2.10 White Eagle
2.11 Raum
2.12 Encore Break
2.13 Phaedra 2022
2.14 Closing Words
Title: Ocean Waves Collection
Artist: Tangerine Dream
Label: Cleopatra
Product Type: COMPACT DISCS
UPC: 741157927627
Genre: Electronic, German
Release Date: 2010-09-28
Number of Discs: 1

- A powerful and compelling collection showcasing some of the highlights from Tangerine Dream's more recent work, including the 20 minute epic "Quinoa" originally released in 1999 as a fan-club members only track! - Other highlights include "Hamlet" and "Sundance Kid" both of which were originally released on albums that would earn the band Grammy nominations!

Tracks:
1.1 Quinoa
1.2 Ancient Power Plant
1.3 Speed Dragon
1.4 Oceanride
1.5 Sundance Kid
1.6 Hamlet
Title: Chandra
Artist: Tangerine Dream
Label: Documents Classics
Product Type: COMPACT DISCS
UPC: 4011222326652
Genre: Electronic
Release Date: 2009-10-06
Number of Discs: 1

CD reissue of this title from the innovative German Electronica outfit, one of the most influential instrumental outfits of the 20th century. On their 2022 album Raum, Tangerine Dream develop the concept of it's precursor EP (Probe 6-8) further. Composed and produced with full access to Edgar Froese's Cubase arrangements (and Otari Tape Archive with recordings from 1977-2013), Thorsten Quaeschning, Hoshiko Yamane and Paul Frick deliver late-night real time compositions combined with classic studio productions, sequencer-driven haunting soundscapes alternate with anthemic warm synthesizers. Composed in a time of social distancing and cancelled shows, the tracks cannot exactly be recreated (or will at least need significant re-instrumentation for a live performance). With the 17-minute 'In 256 Zeichen' they lay the fundament of this record. 'Continuum', with it's repetitive sequence and broken beat shows glimpses of acid sounds and increasing choral atmospheres. 'You Are Always On Time' is built on PPG wavetable sounds and eerie field recordings. The title track 'Raum' makes a nod towards the early live studio performances like 'Zeit' and 'Phaedra' - the melody accompanied by a chorus-like Roland Jupiter 8 part. An ambient rave Moog Minitaur sequence highlights the final peak, until the violin slowly transports the listener out. A heavy Moog bass marks the beginning and the end of this 15-minute piece. Raum is the band's second studio album after the passing of the founder Edgar Froese in 2015. With deep respect for the sound of the previous five decades, this record continues in the ever-evolving pathway of Tangerine Dream.

Tracks:
1.1 Continuum [07:10]
1.2 Portico [06:44]
1.3 In 256 Zeichen [19:10]
2.1 You're Always on Time [08:08]
2.2 Along the Canal [05:29]
2.3 What You Should Know
2.4 About Endings [06:55]
2.5 Raum [14:55]
Title: Knights Of Asheville: Live At Moogfest - Asheville, NC 2011
Artist: Tangerine Dream
Label: Cleopatra
Product Type: COMPACT DISCS
UPC: 741157005721
Genre: Electronic, Dance
Release Date: 2013-09-10
Number of Discs: 2

2013 two CD live release from the German Electronic legends. Force Majeure is the twelfth album by the German group Tangerine Dream, originally issued on transparent vinyl. Following Stratosfear, the album developed Tangerine Dream's further evolution toward the more melodic sound they would adopt in the 1980s, with a heavier presence of guitars, drums and distinct musical suites in the tradition of progressive rock, rather than the band's 1970s output of Berlin School. Force Majeure is Tangerine Dream's fourth-biggest-selling album in the UK, reaching #26 and spending seven weeks on the chart.

Tracks:

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1033/0151/3561/files/3668678-2471254_93efb77d-6f96-4a8d-97b5-9b790b5591a8.jpg?v=1788058303
tangerine-dream-ricochet
Tangerine Dream: Ricochet - COMPACT DISCS
Title: Ricochet
Artist: Tangerine Dream
Label: Virgin Int'l
Product Type: COMPACT DISCS
UPC: 602577478888
Genre: Electronic
Release Date: 2019-06-14
Number of Discs: 1
Additional Details: UNITED KINGDOM - IMPORT

Digitally remastered and expanded edition including two bonus tracks. Ricochet is the first live album and seventh album overall by German electronic music group Tangerine Dream, released in 1975. It consists of two side-long compositions mixed from recordings of the UK and France portions of their August-October 1975 European Tour. The sound of the album is similar to that of the group's other "Virgin Years" releases, relying heavily on synthesizers and sequencers to produce a dense, ambient soundscape, but is much more energetic than their previous works. Ricochet uses more percussion and electronic guitar than it's predecessors Phaedra and Rubycon, and borders on electronic rock. The main innovation on the album is the use of complex, multi-layered rhythms, foreshadowing the band's own direction in the 1980s and trance music and similar genres of electronic dance music.

Tracks:

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1033/0151/3561/files/3668749-2492061_0bdbbb97-0173-4431-9a26-290aabaf5d3d.jpg?v=1788058304
tangerine-dream-probe-6-8
Tangerine Dream: Probe 6-8 - COMPACT DISCS
Title: Probe 6-8
Artist: Tangerine Dream
Label: Kscope Import
Product Type: COMPACT DISCS
UPC: 802644873527
Genre: Electronic
Release Date: 2021-12-03
Number of Discs: 1
Additional Details: UNITED KINGDOM - IMPORT, DIGIPACK PACKAGING

Tangerine Dream have been a fundamental influence on electronic music since Edgar Froese founded the band in West Berlin in 1967. Providing the groundwork for multiple electronic music genres including ambient and electronica, inspiring musicians and other art forms, with seven Grammy nominations to their credit. In recent years their music has featured in popular TV shows such as Stranger Things and video games including Grand Theft Auto. After Froese passed away in 2015, the remaining band members, Thorsten Quaeschning, Ulrich Schnauss and Hoshiko Yamane carried on to help realise Edgar's vision for of a conceptual album that attempts to translate quantum physics and philosophy into music, Quantum Gate was released to critical acclaim in 2017. With a new line up, Thorsten and Hoshiko have been joined by Berlin based keyboard virtuoso Paul Frick. The trio have spent 2021 in their Berlin studio working on Probe 6-8, a first glimpse into the forthcoming full Tangerine Dream studio album due for release in early 2022. Probe 6-8 sees the group's classic studio productions and late night real time compositions form a blueprint for slowly evolving ambient structures, with the band's sequencer driven sound reminiscent of TD's early 1970s work combining with a lush 1980s crystalline bliss. The trio have composed and produced Probe 6-8 with full access to Edgar Froese's Cubase arrangements and Otari Tape Archive with recordings from 1977-2013. The first track 'Raum', is a nod to the band's early live studio performances 'Zeit' and 'Phaedra', with a distinctive heavy Moog bass marking the beginning and the end of this 15-minute introductory piece. This new set of recordings also feature two remixes - Berlin-based composer and producer Grand River (Aimée Portioli) has given 'Raum' her signature sound and 'Continuum' was remixed by Berghain resident and Leisure System co-founder Sam Barker.

Tracks:
1.1 Raum [14:55]
1.2 Para Guy [05:48]
1.3 Continuum [07:10]
1.4 Raum (Grand River Remix) [06:17]
1.5 Continuum (Barker Remix) [05:49]
Title: Phaedra
Artist: Tangerine Dream
Label: Virgin Int'l
Product Type: COMPACT DISCS
UPC: 602577469589
Genre: Electronic
Release Date: 2019-06-14
Number of Discs: 1
Additional Details: UNITED KINGDOM - IMPORT

Digitally remastered and expanded edition including two bonus tracks. Although not quite matching the sales figures for Phaedra, Rubycon reached #10 in a 14-week run, their highest-charting album in the UK.

Tracks:
1.1 Rubycon, Pt. 1
1.2 Rubycon, Pt. 2
1.3 Rubycon
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1033/0151/3561/files/3668747-2471242_c19855e4-ccfe-4d8e-971c-d69ae92c39f0.jpg?v=1788058351
tangerine-dream-night-trains-cityscapes-12-inch-single
Tangerine Dream: Night Trains & Cityscapes - 12-INCH SINGLE
Title: Night Trains & Cityscapes
Artist: Tangerine Dream
Label: Invisible Hands
Product Type: 12-INCH SINGLE
UPC: 5030559109713
Genre: Electronic
Release Date: 2026-05-22
Number of Discs: 1

Tracks:
1.1 Happy Ending
1.2 Los Santos City Map
1.3 Love on a Real Train
Title: Live Miles
Artist: Tangerine Dream
Label: Esoteric
Product Type: COMPACT DISCS
UPC: 5013929752436
Genre: Electronic
Release Date: 2012-03-06
Number of Discs: 1
Additional Details: REMASTERED

Newly remastered and expanded edition of their classic 1988 live album featuring the lineup of Edgar Froese, Paul Haslinger and Chris Franke in his final appearance with the group. Includes eight-page booklet.

Tracks:

Title: Booster Iv
Artist: Tangerine Dream
Label: Cleopatra
Product Type: COMPACT DISCS
UPC: 741157956320
Genre: Electronic
Release Date: 2012-11-13
Number of Discs: 2

The Booster series goes on with the 4th volume - a compilation of former Cupdisc tracks, many new tracks and some older tracks with a new livery! The first two concerts recorded in Nottingham in November 1976 and Washington in April 1977 feature the legendary line-up of Edgar Froese, Chris Franke and Peter Baumann. The latter concert was broadcast live on FM radio as part of a US Tour that spawned the live album 'Encore'. The 1978 concert in Hamburg featured a short-lived line-up which featured Froese and Franke joined by vocalist and flautist Steve Jolliffe and drummer Klaus Krieger. The concert at Newcastle City Hall in October 1981 was part of the tour to promote the album 'Exit' and featured the trio of Edgar Froese, Chris Franke and Johannes Schmoelling. In 1983 this line-up performed a memorial concert in Frankfurt for the German film director Rainer Fassbinder who had passed away the previous year. The nature of Tangerine Dream's music meant that improvisation was a key factor in their live performances, making each performance unique. Mala Kunia was originally released in tangent with the band's 2014 Australian concerts. The album features seven new compositions including two of which were co-composed by new band member Ulrich Schnauss together with Edgar Froese. With this release, a new Tangerine Dream era began, The Quantum Years, which focused on a more back to basics approach to composition influenced by quantum physics. The album itself is named after two Aboriginal tribes, which, according to Aboriginal mythology, living a long time ago around Uluru, also known as Ayers Rock.

1.4 You're Always on Time [08:08]
1.5 Along the Canal [05:29]
1.6 What You Should Know
1.7 About Endings [06:55]
1.8 Raum [14:55]
Title: Sessions VI
Artist: Tangerine Dream
Label: Eastgate Music & Art
Product Type: COMPACT DISCS
UPC: 745760929627
Genre: Electronic
Release Date: 2020-10-23
Number of Discs: 1
Additional Details: GERMANY - IMPORT, EXTENDED PLAY

The Sessions VI EP contains a long instant live composition from the current Tangerine Dream line-up Thorsten Quaeschning, Ulrich Schnauss, Hoshiko Yamane and new TD member Paul Frick.
