Featuring six previously unissued studio recordings. And seven previously unreleased live recordings. Released at the dawn of the 21st Century, 'On The Wire' marked the long awaited return of Lee 'Scratch' Perry's to Trojan Records, 14 years after the company had issued his powerful come-back long-player, 'Battle Of Armagideon' Demonstrating The Upsetter's eccentric and innovative approach to music-making, the 2000 album comprises a compelling blend of weird and wonderful sounds, over which he delivers typically unpredictable yet captivating lyrics that range from the profound to the absurd. Upon it's release, the Trojan collection was comprehensively praised, with many critics proclaiming Scratch was finally back to his best, but unbeknown to most, the recordings were in fact already well over a decade old, with Scratch having cut the material, accompanied by popular British roots band Misty In Roots, at London's Matrix Studio early in 1987. Despite the enduring popularity of 'On The Wire', it has remained unissued since it's original release, an oversight this 25th anniversary edition sets to finally address. This long- overdue deluxe version comprises the original album augmented by a second disc featuring additional unreleased material from the Matrix sessions, along with previously unheard live tracks delivered to Trojan by Scratch around the close on the 1990s.

Tracks:
1.1 Lee Scratch Perry on the Wire
1.2 Exodus
1.3 For Whom the Bells Tolls
1.4 The Grim Reader
1.5 Yes, My Friends
1.6 Rock My Soul
1.7 Seaside (Mystic Mirror)
1.8 I Am the Upsetter
1.9 Keep on Moving
1.10 Burn Funky
2.1 Keep on Moving (Full Mix)
2.2 Muzik
2.3 Jah Come
2.4 Imf
2.5 Jenesis
2.6 Stars in the Bathroom Live Recordings:
2.7 Six Million Dollar Dub (Live)
2.8 Here Comes Lee Perry (Live)
2.9 Rock Around the Corner (Live)
2.10 Rocking on the Wire (Live)
2.11 War in a Babylon (Live)
2.12 Heads of Government (Live)
2.13 Open Door (Live)
Title: Jamaican E.T. - Limited 180-Gram Gold Colored Vinyl
Artist: Lee Perry Scratch
Label: Music on Vinyl
Product Type: VINYL LP
UPC: 8719262029774
Genre: Reggae
Release Date: 2023-08-04
Number of Discs: 2
Additional Details: HOLLAND - IMPORT, LIMITED EDITION, 180 GRAM VINYL, COLORED VINYL, GOLD

Limited edition of 750 individually numbered copies on gold coloured 180-gram audiophile vinyl. Perry was a pioneer in the 1970s development of dub music with his early adoption of remixing and the use of studio effects to create new instrumental or vocal versions of existing tracks. From his Black Ark Studio in Kingston Jamaica, he worked with and produced a wide variety of artists, including Bob Marley and the Wailers, Junior Murvin, Susan Cadogan, The Congos, and Max Romeo. Later, he moved to Switzerland and reinvented himself as a performance and visual artist but continued to produce innovative music - collaborations include The Beastie Boys, The Clash, Keith Richards, George Clinton, and Adrian Sherwood.

Tracks:
1.1 Having a Party
1.2 Heavy Voodoo
1.3 Saint Selassie
1.4 Scratch Is Alive
1.5 Jealousy
1.6 Yee Ha Ha Ha
2.1 The Game Black
2.2 Headz Gonna Roll
2.3 Rolling Thunder
2.4 Rastafari Live
2.5 Once There's a Will There's a Way
2.6 Sinful Fuckers
2.7 The Seven Wishes of Lee "Scratch" Perry
Title: Burning Rockers
Artist: Lee Perry Scratch
Label: Burning Sounds
Product Type: 12-INCH SINGLE
UPC: 5036436146024
Genre: Reggae
Release Date: 2023-12-08
Number of Discs: 1
Additional Details: UNITED KINGDOM - IMPORT

Tracks:
1.1 Shining Dub
1.2 Shut Up Dub
Title: The Return Of Pipecock Jackxon
Artist: Lee Perry Scratch
Label: Honest Jon's
Product Type: VINYL LP
UPC: 827670410416
Genre: Reggae
Release Date: 2011-11-08
Number of Discs: 1

Tracks:
1.1 Bed Jammin
1.2 Untitled Rhythm
1.3 Give Thanx to Jah
1.4 Easy Knocking
1.5 Who Killed the Chicken
1.6 Babylon Cookie Jar a Crumble
1.7 Some Have Fe Halla
Title: Heaven
Artist: Lee Perry Scratch
Label: Burning Sounds
Product Type: VINYL LP
UPC: 5036436145126
Genre: Reggae
Release Date: 2023-12-08
Number of Discs: 1
Additional Details: 180 GRAM VINYL, BOOKLET

Vinyl LP pressing. A madman? A mystic man? There can be no doubt that he is one of the most consequential figures in the world of music, creator of countless reggae classics, a mentor to Bob Marley, an architect of dub music, and inspiration to musicians around the world ranging from The Clash to the Beastie Boys. Though Scratch may have at times seemed crazy it is worth noting that creative genius appears so because geniuses see things others do not see and inhabit realities unseen. As the music on this album reveals, Lee Perry's Black Ark creations re-arrange the familiar into something new and magical. Lee spent his early days working with legendary producers Coxsone Dodd, Duke Reid, Joe Gibbs, Clancy Eccles and Prince Buster, and by 1968 he was an independent producer, naming his studio musicians The Upsetters and scoring instrumental hits with innovative rhythms that helped forge the new reggae style. In 1970-1971 he produced what many consider the greatest works by the Wailers; in 1968 one of his Upsetters productions hit #5 on the UK pop chart and more hits followed. That gave him the funds to build his own studio and in 1973 the legendary Black Ark was born. Among the many landmark classics cut at Black Ark are such incisive political commentaries as Max Romeo's "War Ina Babylon," and Junior Murvin's "Police and Thieves" (covered by the Clash). The Congos' "Heart of the Congos" album is a roots classic and there are many wonderful obscure singles such as Carlton and the Shoes' "Better Days." Many dub creations made innovative use of Scratch's sonic wizardry via echo, phasing, reverb, flanging, wah-wah and various sound effects. It all came to an end in 1978 as Lee, besieged by extortionists, freeloaders, religious fanatics and assorted pilgrims, let the studio lapse. And then he set it on fire, some say due to frustration, others say from mental collapse. He left Jamaica, collaborated with musicians around the world, toured as a sort of mystic trickster/shaman and prospered. But his work at Black Ark will always stand as his ultimate creative achievement.

Tracks:
1.1 Side A
1.2 Augustus Pablo/Lee Perry: Vibrate on
1.3 Lee Perry/Congos: Fisherman Dub
1.4 Max Romeo: War Ina Babylon
1.5 The Heptones: Sufferers Time
1.6 Jr. Byles: Fever
1.7 Side B
1.8 The Upsetters/King Tubby/ Dillinger: Scratch the Dub Organiser
1.9 Carlton ; the Shoes: Better Days
1.10 Jr. Murvin: Police ; Thieves
1.11 Lee Perry/ Upsetters: Traveling in Dub
1.12 Zap Pow: River
1.13 Lee Perry/Upsetters: Dreader Dub
Title: Heavy Rain
Artist: Lee Perry Scratch
Label: On-U Sound
Product Type: COMPACT DISCS
UPC: 5060263722595
Genre: Reggae
Release Date: 2019-12-06
Number of Discs: 1
Additional Details: JEWEL CASE PACKAGING, BOOKLET

A dub companion to the critically-acclaimed Rainford album that sees the Upsetter and co-producer Adrian Sherwood radically re-version the original tapes with a host of guest musicians including Brian Eno and Vin Gordon.01. Includes 12 tracks new to CD. One of the Jamaican music-makers most significant body of works. In 1985, Lee 'Scratch' Perry returned to Trojan Records, the celebrated British company which, during reggae's the formative years, had been instrumental in establishing him on the international scene as one of Jamaica's most talented, innovative and influential producers. By this time, he was exploring new musical avenues, having teamed up with the Dub Factory, a British band led by rhythm guitarist and synth player Mark Downie. The first evidence of this new union came towards the close of the year when Trojan released Perry's seasonal single, 'Merry Christmas, Happy New Year', on which he was accompanied by London-based singer, Sandra Robinson. The disc provided an indication of his bold, new sound, which effectively blended Jamaican rhythms with rock sensibilities. A few months later came Perry's long-awaited comeback album, with it's strikingly designed sleeve perfectly reflecting the wild and unpredictable music within it's grooves. An instant big seller for both Perry and Trojan, the LP both dazzled and bemused listeners, paving the way for a full-scale return to music-making for the Jamaican Jenius. Over the years since, 'Battle Of Armagideon (Millionaire Liquidator)' has become widely acknowledged as Perry's most significant and daring undertakings since the closure of his famed Black Ark studio in Kingston. And now, some 36 years after it's original release, this seminal album is finally given the deluxe treatment, with it's original track-listing bolstered by seven bonus tracks from the Trojan sessions - a dozen of which make their CD debut.

Tracks:
1.1 Introducing Myself
1.2 Drum Song
1.3 Grooving
1.4 All Things Are Possible (LP Mix)
1.5 Show Me That River
1.6 Time Marches on (In ; Out Mix)
1.7 I Am a Madman (LP Mix)
1.8 The Joker
1.9 Happy Birthday
1.10 Sexy Lady
1.11 Time Marches on
1.12 Merry Christmas, Happy New Year (Crossover/Radio Mix)
1.13 Merry Christmas, Happy New Year (The Perry Mix)
1.14 Merry Christmas, Happy New Year (Alt. Determined to craft a work of lasting power, Sherwood likens to the album to the work that Rick Rubin did with Johnny Cash on the American Recordings series, a deeply personal work (the album title refers to Lees birth name) and arguably the strongest batch of original material that Perry has released for many years. From the atmospheric field recording and wah-wah guitar of album opener Cricket On The Moon, to the gothic cello embellishment on Let It Rain, the chopped-and-compressed horn section of Makumba Rock, to the layered, carefully arranged backing vocals like a heavenly chorus throughout the record, this is an album with true love, care and attention poured into it's every groove. It culminates in the truly extraordinary Autobiography Of The Upsetter, in which Scratch narrates the story of his life from growing up on a plantation in 1930s colonial Jamaica to becoming a worldwide musical superstar. It's the most intimate album Lee has ever made, but at the same time the musical ideas are very fresh. These came from musicians and producers from an incredible range of genres-trip hop, dub, ambient, rock, reggae. However, his last official album project took him to Berlin, Germany where he landed on the doorstop of electronic pioneers Mouse on Mars (aka Jan St. Werner and Andi Toma). If he was coming, which one of his personae would arrive? The Upsetter, Pipecock Jackxon, The Super Ape? Maybe Inspector Gadget?Behind these masks was Rainford Hugh Perry, often described as one of the single most important figures in the history of Jamaican music. Producer, engineer, label owner, performer, his impact traced ska to rocksteady to roots reggae, to sound systems, to dub, to Bob Marley and Junior Murvin and Max Romeo and The Congos and so many other legends. Generations passed through him and his ears. And beyond them his influence included punk, funk, electronic music, hip and trip hop as well as his own uncategorizable career as explorer of words, sounds and esoteric concepts.Mouse on Mars are recognized as one of Germany's most defining and versatile electronic music projects. Across more than 3 decades, they've released over 10 albums including Niun Niggung (1999) and Idiology (2001) - the former was declared the Album of the Year by The Wire - several EPs, and an imagined film score for Werner Herzog's Fata Morgana. They're also known for their work with Stereolab, Bon Iver, Tyondai Braxton, The National, Matthew Herbert, Modeselektor, Tortoise.Spatial, No Problem. Is the story of what Lee "Scratch" Perry left behind in Berlin in his encounter with Mouse on Mars.
