The song was a huge hit but it was later discovered that the supposed vocalist for Corona, Oga Maria de Souza, was actually lip-syncing the words on stage and in the video. It is now known that Giovanna Bersola aka Jenny B was the vocalist for this track. As a matter of fact, Jenny B's voice, often uncredited, was used on many Eurodance hits of the 1990s. It was her voice that made those songs hits, a fact not lost on the many producers of the Eurodance scene that hired her for sessions. Today she is finally recognized as the undisputed Queen of the 1990s Eurodance scene. Just to make matters clear, over the past couple of years, working with producers and studios in Europe, Miami, and New Zealand where she now resides - Jenny B has recorded an album of many of the greatest hits from over the years, but proudly using her own name, not an alias, and thus reclaiming those hit songs as her own. Presented here is Jenny B's new version of "The Rhythm Of The Night," one of the first single EPs to be released from this long overdue project. Featured are 7 exclusive mixes, including the album version, extended mix, club mix, plus bonus instrumental and acappella versions for this exclusive release.

Tracks:

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1033/0151/3561/files/4346947-3189435_2333f963-7753-4164-9d99-1cbf6cfb17a2.jpg?v=1788058378
jenny-b-mehento-remixes
Jenny B: Mehento (Remixes) - COMPACT DISCS
Title: Mehento (Remixes)
Artist: Jenny B
Label: Essential Media Mod
Product Type: COMPACT DISCS
UPC: 894232881328
Genre: Electronic
Release Date: 2024-06-07
Number of Discs: 1
Additional Details: MANUFACTURED ON DEMAND

2023 has been a landmark year for Dissident Music, and it's not over yet! Dark Matter & Prisma Storm delivered "Mehento" late last year, featuring a captivating blend of techno and trance elements, complete with a nod to the sound of mid-2000s dance music. Now "Mehento" sees a full remix release, a sensational reimagining of the original track, with Noel Sanger and Retroid lending their formidable talents to the project. Noel Sanger, a veteran of the electronic music scene, brings his rich experience to the table with a remix that infuses progressive and tribal percussive elements into the track, creating a sonic journey that is both dynamic and uplifting. Two of the biggest hits from the era were "Save Me" and "Rhythm Of The Night." "Save Me," was originally released by the German pop duo Say When! In 1987. The song, written by Pete Glenister and Mike Gaffey, served as the basis for Corona's massive world-wide hit "The Rhythm of the Night," also written by Glenister and Gaffey, featuring Jenny B's uncredited lead vocal. A fine example was the teaming of Jenny B with Stefano Gamma, the famed House / Deep House / NuDisco DJ & producer from Rome, Italy, resulting in the hit single "Shine Into My Life," released in 1999. Jenny B co-wrote the song with Gamma, which featured her superb lead vocal. For the past few years, she has been working with producers in Europe, Miami, and New Zealand, where she currently resides, and has been re-recording all the hit songs for the release of a full-length album, finally under her own name to set the record straight. One of the many songs was the 1995 Euro-house hit "Closer To Me," originally released under the moniker "Libra." The new version of the hit song is presented here as one of the first single releases from the long-awaited album featuring 7 exclusive mixes of the track including the original mix, extended mix, club mix plus bonus instrumental and acappella versions. The song was sung by Giovanna Bersola AKA Jenny B, although she was uncredited on the release. To further obscure the identity of the actual vocalist, lip-synch was performed in the videos and on stage by a Polish model called Marta Simlat. It was only until sometime later that the listening public found out that the real voice behind the hit was Jenny B. The same scenario played out several times during the 1990s with other big Eurodance hits that featured Jenny B's uncredited voice. Working with producers in Europe, Miami, and New Zealand where she currently resides, she has rerecorded many of the big hits, but this time releasing them on an album under her own name so that the world will now and finally know that the golden voice behind all these hits was none other than Jenny B, the undisputed Queen of 1990's Eurodance. One of the first singles release from that album is presented here, the aforementioned "You & I," featuring 7 exclusive mixes of the track including the original album mix, extended mix, club mix, plus bonus instrumental and acappella versions.

Tracks:

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1033/0151/3561/files/4346925-3189413_4f7c609f-31e4-416e-a4ee-4aa9a406700e.jpg?v=1788058386
jenny-b-the-summer-is-magic-south-beach-rockstars-disko-remixes
Jenny B: The Summer Is Magic (South Beach Rockstars Disko Remixes) - COMPACT DISCS
Title: The Summer Is Magic (South Beach Rockstars Disko Remixes)
Artist: Jenny B
Label: Essential Media Mod
Product Type: COMPACT DISCS
UPC: 894232870025
Genre: Electronic
Release Date: 2023-09-22
Number of Discs: 1
Additional Details: MANUFACTURED ON DEMAND

Back in the 1990s there was a slew of Eurodance songs that hit the charts in a big way - such as Corona's "The Rhythm Of The Night," J.K.'s - "You & I," Playahitty's "The Summer Is Magic," Simpson Tune's "Bring It Down," and others. What is curious about these hits is that they all seem to have the same distinct vocalist. A deeper dig reveals that Giovanna Bersola, professionally known as Jenny B, is the uncredited lead voice that made all these songs, and many others, worldwide hits. Over the course of the past two years, in studios around the globe, the amazing voice behind these songs has been recently on a mission to record all the biggest hits under her own name instead of the aliases that appeared on the original labels. The world can now know, without a shadow of a doubt, that the incredible voice behind all these 1990s Eurodance hits is none other than Jenny B. Miami's South Beach Rockstars have been tasked with remixing "The Summer Is Magic," arguably one of the biggest hits from Jenny B's career. When it was originally released by Italian Eurodance group Playahitty in 1994, Jenny B's unmistakable voice led listeners to the believe that "The Summer Is Magic" was another hit song by the group Corona, who, with the help of Jenny B's voice, scored big with "The Rhythm Of The Night" the previous year. Even though she was uncredited on the track, the world soon came to realize that it could only be Jenny B. Although they had pretty big shoes to fill, South Beach Rockstars have come through in spades, with a slew of remixes that elevate Jenny's new version of the time-honored track to a whole new level.

Tracks:
1.1 The Summer Is Magic (South Beach Rockstars Disko Radio Mix)
1.2 The Summer Is Magic (South Beach Rockstars Disko Club Mix)
1.3 The Summer Is Magic (South Beach Rockstars Disko Extended Mix)
1.4 The Summer Is Magic (South Beach Rockstars Disko Radio Instrumental)
1.5 The Summer Is Magic (South Beach Rockstars Disko Club Instrumental)
1.6 The Summer Is Magic (South Beach Rockstars Disko Extended Instrumental)
1.7 The Summer Is Magic (South Beach Rockstars Disko Radio Acappella)
Jenny B: 1-2-3! They scored huge Eurodance hits with "The Summer Is Magic" in 1994, and "1-2-3! (Train With Me). " the following year. The voice of Playahitty was performed by Giovanna Bersola AKA Jenny B, although she went uncredited at the time, which was a common occurrence during her early career. Over the past couple of years, Jenny B has been working with producers in Miami, Europe and New Zealand (where she now resides) to record new versions of many of these songs - but this time, under her own name, so that the world will finally know that Jenny B is the undisputed Queen of 1990s Euro-Dance. Working with producers and studios in Europe, Miami, and New Zealand, Jenny B has been diligently making her own versions of many of the multitude of hits that bear her voice, and one that is closely associated. "Save Me," was originally released by the German pop duo Say When! In 1987. The song, written by Pete Glenister and Mike Gaffey, served as the basis for Corona's massive world-wide hit "The Rhythm of the Night," also written by Glenister and Gaffey, and featuring Jenny B's lead vocal. The Rhythm of the Night borrows heavily from "Save Me," namely the music and specifically the lyrics "Round and round we go, each time I hear you say", along with other similar lyrics shared by the two songs. It is only fitting that Jenny B would record her own version of the track for her new album. Presented here is Jenny B's newly recorded version featuring a robust 7 mixes for this debut single.
