Learn is slower to mid-paced, filled with brooding, heavy riffs, distinctive bass lines, and vocals that at times recall Geoff Tate of Queensryche, Eric Clayton of Saviour Machine, and at other times, Dream Theater. And, while you can hear musical influences on the album, Deliverance was synthesizing them to create their own expressive landscape. Learn is a full-on metallic muscle flex of heavy metal. The music is thick, intentional, confident, and crunchy. While early albums sped through from beginning to end, Learn is determined to make the journey as enjoyable and delicious as possible - so no need to rush! This is the definition of epic, progressive heavy metal and it continues to be a high point in the Deliverance catalog and an album treasured by fans.

Tracks:
1.1 Time
1.2 1990
1.3 Learn
1.4 Who Am I?
1.5 Renew
1.6 The Rain
1.7 Reflection
1.8 In The Will
1.9 Desperate Cries
1.10 Sanctuary
Title: Hear What I Say
Artist: Deliverance
Label: Retroactive Records
Product Type: VINYL LP
UPC: 637405138887
Genre: Heavy Metal, Heavy Metal
Release Date: 2022-10-14
Number of Discs: 1

Make no mistake, Hear What I Say is 100% METAL! In fact, the 2013 Deliverance release is a nice hybrid of the styles that have characterized the band's two decades of existence. Jimmy is accompanied by axeman extraordinaire Michael Phillips, his faithful bassist Manny Morales and none other than Jayson Sherlock of Mortification and Horde fame pounding out the drum rhythms. It is a great line-up and the high expectations that come with being an iconic metal band have been met, and then some! "The Annals of Subterfuge" and "Angst" will satisfy the fans of their early thrash era being a full-on heavy metal assault, but other tracks that could have easily been recorded on other "big D" albums. Leave it to Jimmy Brown to stay fresh and experimental without sacrificing the heaviness and all-out metal foundation of the mighty Deliverance sound. You get a Maiden cover "Where Eagles Dare" (which is very well done by the way) and a German version of "Detox," and for the 2019 Retroactive Records re-release you get an exclusive bonus track, "Spieluhr" which is a Rammstein cover. Deliverance was the first Christian extreme metal band to really enjoy success back in the day and the longevity they've enjoyed is a testament to both the quality and integrity of the music and the musicians who have participated in the band over all these years. Music that is incomparable, matchless, peerless, unrivaled, or inimitable is a very short list. Many artists strive for transcendence, but a precious few ever accomplish it. Starting out originally as a speed metal act with influences of Metallica and Slayer shining brightly, the band's fourth album, Stay of Execution, signaled both change and growth in this epic metal band! This new sound was most noticeably embodied by vocalist Jimmy P. Brown II altering his vocal style singing much more like David Bowie and Saviour Machine's Eric Clayton. The vocals fit the newer direction musically and with 1994's River Disturbance, unleashed a new level of brilliance for Deliverance fans as they progressed into 1994 and beyond! A timeless album filled with haunting melodies and powerful metal music, River Disturbance ascended to new artistic heights. The title track is a tour de force of songwriting and arrangements. Melancholy and strong, with deeply introspective lyrical elements, River Disturbance is a prayer for inner peace with music that is melodic, dark, beautiful, and pummeling! The apex of this album is the 7+ minute almost Queen-like ballad, "You Still Smile". Dedicated to the wife of Jimmy P Brown II, this revealing look into the heart of an artist is powerful and beyond memorable. The piano elements (Gene Eugene) are rich and lush, which provide the stitching that holds this tapestry together. River Disturbance is THE quintessential mid-period Deliverance album. It's progressive heavy metal, but much, much more. River Disturbance was transcendent in 1994, and it will remain transcendent in the decades ahead. This is Jimmy Brown's Sgt. Pepper... his Operation Mindcrime... his Ziggy Stardust! This is art of the highest order. Recorded by Gene Eugene (Adam Again) and Produced by Terry Scott Taylor (DA) the band stretched themselves like never before and fans were richly rewarded! The 2018 Retroactive Records remastered (by Rob Colwell of Bombworks Sound) reissue is part of the Legends Remastered series and features enhanced original artwork, band photos, and lyrics. Jimmy Brown's vocal delivery on this album evokes comparisons to legends like Geoff Tate (Queensrÿche), Eric Clayton (Saviour Machine), and even the progressive flair of Dream Theater, yet the band remains distinctly Deliverance, creating a soundscape uniquely their own.Learn is a masterclass in epic, progressive heavy metal. With it's thick, crunchy textures and deliberate pacing, the album invites listeners to savor every moment of the journey. This isn't an album that rushes to the finish line-it's one to be fully experienced, relishing the depth and artistry in each track. For many fans, Learn represents a pinnacle in Deliverance's catalog, with Retroactive Records CEO Matthew Hunt describing it as "a greatest hits album in it's own right," where every song stands out as exceptional and timeless. With the original black vinyl edition long sold out, fans now have a second chance to own this iconic album, this time on stunning orange vinyl. Limited to just 200 units, this special reissue includes a 12x12 full-color lyrics insert and features updated and enhanced artwork. This iconic 13th album from Deliverance-originally released to universal acclaim-has been mastered for vinyl by Rob Colwell (King's X, Galactic Cowboys, Nevermore) and is finally available in a format worthy of it's massive sound and legendary status.Since their thrashing 1989 debut, Deliverance has set the gold standard in heavy metal, earning a place among the most innovative and distinguished bands in the genre. Known for their groundbreaking video "Weapons of Our Warfare" (the first Christian metal video to air on Headbanger's Ball) and their seamless transition from thrash to progressive metal in the mid-90s, Deliverance has built a career defined by commercial success, critical acclaim, and a relentless commitment to musical brilliance. As Above - So Below was the band's first new album in over a decade, and Jimmy Brown poured his heart and soul into creating what many consider one of the heaviest Deliverance record to date. The album alternates between moments of sheer beauty and spine-crushing brutality, blending epic thrash/speed metal with the elegance of progressive metal. From the haunting, Omen-inspired opening track to thunderous riffs reminiscent of Slayer and early Believer, this is Deliverance at their most powerful.Whether you're a longtime fan or discovering them for the first time, this vinyl edition of As Above - So Below delivers a masterpiece that transcends expectations. For fans of Metallica, Megadeth, Queensrÿche, Sacred Warrior, and Anthrax.

Tracks:
1.1 Legum Servi Sumus Ut Liberi Esse Possimus (Intro)
1.2 Cause ; Effect
1.3 Return to Form
1.4 As Above - So Below
1.5 Screaming
1.6 Should We Cross Paths
1.7 Contempt
1.8 Thistles
1.9 My Love
1.10 Enlightened
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1033/0151/3561/files/4416097-3373135_e0a67fac-d733-498f-ae44-a5871268d7c3.jpg?v=1788059334
deliverance-intense-series-live-vol-2
Deliverance: Intense Series Live Vol. 1 - VINYL
Title: Intense Series Live Vol. 1
Artist: Deliverance
Label: Retroactive Records
Product Type: VINYL LP
UPC: 637405142150
Genre: Heavy Metal, Heavy Metal
Release Date: 2024-09-13
Number of Discs: 1
Additional Details: COLORED VINYL, ORANGE, LIMITED EDITION, REMASTERED

Originally recorded in 1992 and released on Intense Records in 1993, this album treats fans to a privileged insider experience with a live in-studio jamming session, something similar to Metallica's $5.98 EP back in the 80's. Originally released in 2001 and reissued on CD in 2019, this landmark album now makes it's long-awaited debut on vinyl, celebrating it's place in metal history as a bold and transformative record. This 2025 vinyl reissue marks the first time Assimilation is available on this format, presented on striking Borg Green Vinyl and limited to just 200 copies worldwide. Painstakingly remastered for vinyl by Rob Colwell, the album's intricate layers and sonic textures are brought to life with newfound clarity and depth. Accompanying this deluxe release is a 12x12 full-color insert featuring lyrics and exclusive liner notes by Deliverance frontman Jimmy P. Brown II, offering fans a unique window into the album's creation and enduring impact. After a lengthy hiatus, Assimilation marked the triumphant return of Deliverance, led by founding member Jimmy P. Brown II. Brown's haunting, doom-like vocals described as a blend of David Bowie and Queensrÿche's Geoff Tate anchor the album's dynamic soundscape. His razor-sharp guitar riffs, placed prominently in the mix, are complemented by the unwavering bass lines of longtime bandmate Manny Morales and the industrial-tinged keyboard work of David Gilbreath. Together, the band crafted a record that is both heavy and introspective, seamlessly marrying technical precision with melodic hooks.Critics and fans alike have hailed Assimilation as one of Deliverance's finest achievements. Music critic Angelic Warlord described it as "the most musically consistent effort from the band since it's critically acclaimed 1993 work Learn," awarding it an impressive 85% rating. Songs like "The Circle" and "Save Me From." showcase the band's technical prowess, while tracks such as "Assimilation" and "Between 2 Worlds" exude a resounding heaviness. Meanwhile, "The Limitless Light" and "Impressions" captivate listeners with their unforgettable choruses and gripping melodies.Thematically, Assimilation delves into the perils of losing identity and control, exploring the tension between autonomy and external influence. It's haunting atmosphere and philosophical depth make it a powerful and thought-provoking listening experience. As the band declares, "Resistance is futile. You WILL be Assimilated."For fans of Queensrÿche, Rammstein, HIM, and mid-period Deliverance, Assimilation is an essential addition to any collection. In 1987, Deliverance had made their presence known in dramatic fashion on the California Metal compilation (a sampler in the vein of Metal Blade's Metal Massacre compilations) with "Attack" being the very first thrash/speed metal song with a strong Christian message to ever be released. Overwhelmed with anticipation, fans lined up for two years trying to buy more of this West Coast speed metal as phenomenal as anything released by Exodus, Death Angel, Metallica, and Anthrax. The long wait ended with the release of 1989's self-titled debut, and fans were not disappointed. Having enlisted the production skills of famed mainstream metal producer Bill Metoyer (Flotsam and Jetsam, Trouble, Fates Warning, DRI, Slayer) the debut exuded all the pure destructive power for which fans could have hoped. Every note is executed with jaw-dropping levels of scientific precision. Jimmy's vocals are both powerful and soaring. The 2023 Retroactive reissue is a brand new 2022 Vinyl remaster (Rob Colwell of Bombworks Sound) and includes two non-LP demo songs as bonus tracks. This is pure metallic brilliance packaged with a genius 12-page booklet laid out by NoLifeTilMetal's Scott Waters. This 2023 picture disc color vinyl fixes any song transition issues from the past. Deliverance's Greeting of Death demo (1986) did the same thing for the most heralded Christian thrash act of all-time. Frontman, Jimmy Brown asked his girlfriend to draw up a cover of a Grim Reaper waving "Hi!" Inspired by a Chic Tract he had seen and she drew it, and used rub on letters from a stationary store. Jimmy made all the dubs from a tape deck that belonged to his sister. Three tape decks later, he had ordered 5,000 copies within a year's time. The demo gained a life of it's own! People everywhere knew it! People would sing Speckled Bird (exclusive to this demo) when the band would go to shows and people at the shows were singing along with the songs from the demo! Greeting of Death was a very special moment in time, captured on cellophane magnetic tape and it propelled Deliverance to being a regular at the Sunset Strip and the newly emerging Christian Festival networks. With their roots deeply rooted in the Greeting of Death demo, Deliverance would release two of the most influential and critically acclaimed Christian thrash releases of all time in the 1989 Self-Titled and the 1990 release Weapons of Our Warfare. This 1986 demo, Greeting of Death is what propelled them to impact the thrash scene more than any other single Christian thrash band, ever. All three versions of this iconic demo were intentional in making it look, feel, and sound like the original release featuring the iconic cover drawn by Jimmy's girlfriend, and printed black and white on uncoated (flat/not glossy) paper just like the original demo. The cassette is a single J-Card insert featuring the original six tracks. The 12" Vinyl features the personal reflections, lyrics and rare bands photos on black vinyl (500 units pressed). Both CD and Vinyl feature the original six songs, plus the two legendary tracks off of the California Metal Compilation, Attack and A Space Called You. This demo came out years ahead of all other Christian thrash releases and opened the door for success for other bands like Vengeance, Believer, and Seventh Angel. The impact of Greeting of Death cannot be overstated, and this reissue gives fans a chance to taste of what the original release was like, but even better with the packaging, various formats, and the 2019 remaster from an all new source that is a substantial improvement from all other versions of this release. This is the ultimate Deliverance reissue that celebrates the impact of a band that has a musical legacy second to none. And yes, the album title is Greeting of Death, but the song on the demo is Greetings of Death. That's the way Jimmy's girlfriend heard it when he was telling her what he wanted, and that's the way she made it! Get them while you can - these are treasures!.

Tracks:
1.1 Victory
1.2 Greetings Of Death
1.3 No Time
1.4 J.I.G
1.5 Speckled Bird
1.6 Awake
1.7 A Space Called You
1.8 Attack
Title: Weapons of Our Warfare (35th Anniversary Edition)
Artist: Deliverance
Label: Retroactive Records
Product Type: VINYL LP
UPC: 732131698671
Genre: Heavy Metal, Heavy Metal
Release Date: 2026-01-02
Number of Discs: 2
Additional Details: COLORED VINYL, LIMITED EDITION, BONUS TRACKS, ANNIVERSARY EDITION

Deliverance - Weapons of Our Warfare (35th Anniversary Edition).Released in 1990, Weapons of Our Warfare didn't just raise the bar-it was the bar. Now, 35 years later, this landmark album returns in a definitive edition that reclaims it's place as one of the most iconic and revered thrash records in the history of Christian metal-and beyond.Coming off the momentum of their self-titled debut, Deliverance sharpened their attack with a sound that rivaled the giants of the era. While Metallica was delivering Master of Puppets and Slayer unleashed Reign in Blood, Deliverance stood shoulder to shoulder with Weapons of Our Warfare-an album overflowing with fire, speed, and spiritual conviction. The arrival of guitarist George Ochoa (Recon) joined forces with frontman Jimmy P. Brown II to unleash a twin guitar assault of technical brilliance and blazing intensity. From the very first notes, Weapons... ignites with adrenaline-drenched compositions and a fierce sense of purpose. Songs like "Slay the Wicked," "Solitude," "If We Faint Not," and the explosive title track showcase the band's ability to fuse complexity with clarity, and muscle with melody. Brown's guitar mastery and lyrical urgency drive the album, while Ochoa's shredding adds bite and brilliance. This 35th Anniversary Edition includes not only the full remastered album-meticulously enhanced by Rob Colwell to sound better than ever-but also a treasure trove of bonus material. For the first time, fans can hear the studio version of "Rescue," recorded for the original album but left unreleased until now. In addition, the release features eight crushing tracks from the original Weapons demo sessions, capturing the raw power of a band forging it's legacy. The cultural impact of Weapons of Our Warfare was undeniable. The video for the title track made history as the first Christian metal song to air on MTV, spending twelve weeks in the Top 3 of Headbanger's Ball. Years later, Metallica's Lars Ulrich would name it one of his Top 10 metal videos of all time-a moment of validation from the heart of the mainstream metal world.Still ranked among the greatest metal albums of it's time, Weapons of Our Warfare has earned it's place on countless best-of lists, including a Top 3 finish on Christian Metal Realm's 100 Greatest Albums and a Top 20 spot on Angelic Warlord's 1990s ranking. More importantly, it remains a vital, visceral listen-sounding just as urgent and uncompromising now as it did in 1990.Thirty-five years later, Weapons of Our Warfare still rages with purpose, passion, and precision. The CD is a 12 page insert with lyrics and pages of iconic band photos with personal reflections form Jimmy Brown. The 12" Vinyl features the personal reflections, lyrics and rare bands photos on black vinyl (500 units pressed). The CD features the original six songs, plus the two legendary tracks off of the California Metal Compilation, Attack and A Space Called You. This demo came out years ahead of all other Christian thrash releases and opened the door for success for other bands like Vengeance, Believer, and Seventh Angel. The impact of Greeting of Death cannot be overstated, and this reissue gives fans a chance to taste of what the original release was like, but even better with the packaging, various formats, and the 2019 digital remaster from an all new source that is a substantial improvement from all other versions of this release.

1.6 Awake
1.7 A Space Called You
1.8 Attack
Title: Hear What I Say
Artist: Deliverance
Label: Retroactive Records
Product Type: COMPACT DISCS
UPC: 637405139082

Originally released in 1991, Deliverance's third album is a thrash masterpiece along the lines of S.O.D., M.O.D., Sacred Reich, and Death Angel. Few are free from their lyrical mockery, be it profiteering doomsday preachers, goofy fundamentalists who hate metal because of the sound, skeptics/atheists, the Roman Catholic church, American politicians, or even the whole of American society. Naturally, they've opted to mock just about every type of person who wouldn't likely be at one of their live performances, so the approach is a tad safe, though nevertheless eloquent and effective when compared to much of the marble-mouthed rambling that can infect politically charged or humor-based thrash lyrics. This album resulted in some of the most unique and interesting work in the band's catalog. Where before the songs were all serious subject matter and thrash played to perfection, What a Joke saw the band taking themselves and their music a bit less seriously, showing the fun side of metal and taking on topics that could be handled with more humor and still get the message across. Classics like It's the Beat and Purgatory Sandwich With Mustard see Jimmy and company tackling topics other bands may have seen as taboo, thus, this album remains an important piece in the Deliverance catalog. The 2020 CD reissue includes all the original tracks, plus one 2014 re-recorded version of the song, What a Joke (including George Ochoa). Everything has been digitally remastered by Rob Colwell of Bombworks Sound. It comes on a Gold Disc (to deter against disc rot) in a jewel case and a 12-page insert with lyrics and excellent band pics, and a gold foil stamped Deliverance trading card in every CD. Frightening, awe-inspiring, and absolutely relentless, Deliverance's self-titled album dropped onto the scene in 1989 with all the finesse of a metallic sledgehammer across the forehead. The 2020 Retroactive reissue is a brand new Gold Disc remaster (Rob Colwell of Bombworks Sound) and includes three non-LP demo songs as bonus tracks. The insert booklet features 2017 write-ups from band leader, Jimmy Brown, guitarist Glenn Rogers, bassist Brian Khairullah, and Pastor Bob Beeman. Vinyl comes with a 12" insert and WHITE Vinyl! Vinyl is limited to just 500 units!

Tracks:
1.1 Belltown
1.2 After I Fell
1.3 River Disturbance
1.4 Now ; Then
1.5 Speed Of Light
1.6 A Little Sleep
1.7 Map
1.8 You Still Smile
1.9 Breathing Still
Title: Camelot In Smithereens Redux
Artist: Deliverance
Label: Retroactive Records
Product Type: COMPACT DISCS
UPC: 637405140576
Genre: Heavy Metal, Heavy Metal
Release Date: 2022-09-09
Number of Discs: 3
Additional Details: WITH DVD

Originally recorded in 1995 and released on Intense Records, Camelot in Smithereens blended bits of thrash with technical progressive metal. Deliverance vocalist and band leader, Jimmy P Brown II always lamented that the final version of the album was far from what his original vision entailed. According to Deliverance frontman, Jimmy Brown II, "The Camelot story embodies a lot of allegory, but it's an important tale! It can, and will mean different things to different people. I know what it means to me, and I am truly glad that after these years it can be revealed to you!" Camelot tackles some courageous and vulnerable subject matter, like depression, sexual misconduct, questioning of one's faith, and seeking God. The songs sort of have an emotional ebb & flow that begins with posing the question of "Where are you?" to God, followed by a recounting of some negative things going on in the protagonist's life, followed by a series of songs talking about the daily struggle between purity & sin, and wrapping up with an ending that takes the approach that no matter what comes in life, we are to look to God for hope, answers, and ultimately salvation. In 2021, Jimmy Brown and company took on the task of re-recording the album from the ground up, and Jimmy wrote a book as a companion piece so Camelot finally reflects the original intention and vision intended for this classic album. Only the Deluxe Edition includes the entire book + the CD of Camelot Redux + Camelot (1995 remastered) + DVD (band footage and interviews). On par with the greatness of Queensrÿche - Operation: Mindcrime (yes, we are serious), Jimmy Brown and the band have gifted fans with a true treasure of artistic and musical brilliance - sheer, unadulterated brilliance.
